‘The only journey is the journey within’, Pakru (Ajaykumar) also known as Guinness Pakru is the one who has practiced it. Sheer hard work and self determination took him to new heights in life and career. A journey he relentlessly endeared and passed on. Pakru reached an enviable position as an actor and made his mark in the industry through his uniquely interesting roles and portrayals. Treading through the journey of struggle, failure and endurance, Pakru has embarked on his goal flagging victorious. He has numerous awards and recognitions in his name and has proved his caliber as a talented actor in every sense.

Pakru started his professional life as a Kadhikan(Story Teller) and now he is one of the leading actors in Malayalam and Tamil film industry. Pakru’s entry into the industry was through his debut film Abiliammavan (1985). Since then, Pakru never had to look back and his career graph had taken a new path. Pakru participated in more than 5000 stage shows, acted in more than 60 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and has also worked in various TV serials.His professional life got a new light after he played the lead role in the movie ‘Albhuta Dweep’, directed by Vinayan. Other milestones of his film career include Joker, Kunjikoonan, Meeshamadhavan, Dishum (Tamil), Mirror (Kannada), Puthiya Mukham, Bodyguard, My Big Father, 7aum Arivu(Tamil), Kaavalan (Tamil), Shayanam, Pattanathil Bhootham, Swantham Bharya Sindabad, Twenty Twenty, Rethi Nirvedam, Mulla etc… Films like Dishum, Mirror, 7aum Arivu, Kaavalan helped him gain a place in the hearts of people from other south Indian states.

Pakru has a list of upcoming releases that include Venessile Vyapari, Killadi Raman, Snake and Ladder and Platform No.1. Future projects in which you would see Pakru include Hero, directed by Deepan, Perinoru Makan by Vinu Anand, Sreekandan Kuzhappakaranalla by S.P Mahesh.

Apart from the movies he also marked his position as a performer by being part of more than 5000 stage shows held at various parts of the world including UAE, US, UK, Muscat, Kuwait, Quatar, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Australia etc. Pakru just measures 76 cm and he got his name marked in the Guiness Book of World Records by playing a lead role in the movie Albuthadweepu. 2 ft 6inch tall Pakru is officially recognized as the world’s smallest actor who plays leading roles in movies by the Guinness Book of World Records. His achievements do not end there as he was also listed in the Limca Book of records in 2009.

Ajaykumar or Pakru is the son of Radhakarishnan Pillai and Ambujakshiamma from Aymanam, Kerala. Pakru got married to Gayathri in March 2006, a graduate in economics. The couple is blessed with a daughter Deepthakeerthi, 3 years old.

He has two siblings Kavitha and Sangeetha. Kavitha is married to Praveen and has two children Adithyadev and Devaduth. Sangeetha is married to Gopinath G Menon and their children are Krishnanuja and Krishnarjun. Ajaykumar, the family man is now settled in Kottayam, Kerala, India.


He completed his graduation and Post graduation in Economics from Basselius College, Kottayam (Mahatma Gandhi University) and Schooling from CMS HS Ollassa. His passion to learn new things made him a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Computer Science.

Pakru’s efforts paid off when he first won the Kerala State Award (Special Jury Mention) for the film Albutha Dweep. He was also recognized by the Tamil Nadu government for his excellent contribution as a supporting actor in the film Dishum by awarding the Tamil Nadu State Award (Best Supporting Actor).

Pakru’s achievements can be counted from his school days as he bagged the title of Kalaprathibha in school Youth Festival of Kottayam District. He won the first prize for Kathaprasangam competition at School State youth festival. Apart from this he also became the winner of the ‘Kalaprathibha’ title of Akhila Kerala Bhalajanasakhyam under Manorama (state level), 3 times.

He was a dedicated artist even in college where he won much recognition as a performer and won prizes in the various competitions at MG University Youth Festival.
